Our stories

Grace

Hi I’m Grace Lymie. I’m one of the CF leaders in school. Throughout this year I learned a lot of things. Although there were ups and downs in my life, somehow by God’s strength I managed to pull myself up and be strong in Him again. And now I’m still learning about Him and trying to get closer to Him. And I learned about His goodness and that He truly is the Saviour, Healer and God forever. He will never ever change…Forever…

I thank God for the many opportunities to serve in the school. God has been working so greatly in the CF and we have a growing number of students at every meeting. The CF has not only been a place for me to fellowship with others but it has also been an avenue for me to give of myself in serving. It wasn't easy at first but I thank God for the many others who have been there for me. I believe it isn't about ourselves but working together towards one purpose to see the school being flooded by His Passion, Presence and Power. God’s faithfulness has seen me through this year and indeed, with God ALL things are possible. I believe He has greater things in store for the CF next year and I look forward to it.

Fidelia

I was born into a Christian family. For me, Christianity was just about going to church for Sunday School, singing Christian songs in church and that was all! Years passed by and I got so tired of going to church every Sunday. So I started to give excuses, and then I totally did not get involved in church activities. When I was in Form 1, friends invited me to join the CF in school. I learnt a lot through this club and I found out that I should make a choice to follow Jesus and it was then when I became a Christian. I never know this before and it was totally something new to me. I accepted Jesus during a CF camp in 2005. It was the first time that I ever felt the presence of God in the worship. I felt that God was so close to me. I never had such a feeling like that before and I responded to Him. After the camp, I went to a church which really served God and God gave me a pastor who was totally in love with God and I learnt a lot and kept growing in God. Now, if you were to ask me what is most important in my life, I will tell you it is in knowing Jesus. God really changed me from the inside out and I still have a desire to know Him more and more. I really want thank God for CF. Without CF, I would never be where I am today!!

I learnt how to encourage people after I was chosen as a team leader in CF. I was assigned two group leaders and so I would meet them once a week, to discuss the Scripture Memory System (SMS) with them. I also had to make sure that they met up with their own group members regularly. After meeting with them, I would meet up with my own members and discuss SMS together. From there, I began to realise that they actually needed encouragement for their studies and even in life. Quite a lot of them struggled with their studies and I began to learn how to encourage them so that they wouldn't feel as though they are left out.
